Federal Heights Structure Fire

At 16:58 on August 31st, 2019 Federal Heights Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 8900 block of Clay St. Engine 41 arrived to a single-story dwelling with smoke and flames showing from the roof, and pulled a 1 3/4 line for quick attack in the offensive strategy, and request a major incident tone. Battalion 1 arrived on scene and assumed command, and Engine 2 assigned to pull a 2nd line on the Charlie side with Truck 62 . Crews vented the roof in order to search, the fire was extinguished and crews started overhaul with hot spots. The fire was put under control at 17:20 and the cause is under investigation.
