Highway 285 Accident

At 16:33 on November 7th, 2019 West Metro Fire Rescue & Indian Hills Fire Rescue responded to a single vehicle that went over the embankment off of Hwy. 285 just west of Morrison. Crews arrived to a single vehicle that left the highway approximately 100 foot down, sliding down a steep embankment off of Hwy. 285 with a party trapped. Flight for Life was put on a airborne stand-by, but later was canceled. Crews stabilized the vehicle, extricated the patient from the vehicle and crews retrieved the patient via a low angle rope rescue. One patient was transported to an area hospital by Medic 13 with unknown injuries. Northbound Hwy. 285 was closed for the rescue operations and the incident was cleared after 18:00.
