Semi vs Pole

At 09:40 on June 2nd, 2019 Fairmount Fire Protection District responded to an auto accident at W. 44th Ave. & Ward Rd. in Wheat Ridge. Truck 31 arrived with Medic 21 to a semi into a light pole with one patient, and CPR in process from Wheat Ridge Police Department. Battalion 30 arrived and assumed command with a fuel spill from the semi, and request Arvada Fire Protection District to the scene. Truck 56 arrived, and assigned to split the crew: mitigate the fuel spill and assist patient care with CPR. Medic 21 transported the patient to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Haz-Mat 54 and Truck 54 arrived and assisted withe the fuel clean-up, and crews worked several hours with the clean-up. The accident scene is under investigation.
