South Metro Garage Fire

On August 21st, 2020 at approximately 13:15 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire at The Orchards at Cherry Creek Park Apartments, 6000 S. Fraser St. in Centennial. Units arrived on scene and found smoke showing from a garage used by the complex’s maintenance staff. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire, check for extension and mop up the hot spots. Efforts were hampered due to the high heat, miscellaneous and possibly hazardous supplies stored in the garage. No injuries were reported and the cause for the fire is under investigation.
