Clifton Structure Fire

On January 30th, 2020 at 16:44 Clifton Fire Protection District was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 670 30 1/2 Rd. RP reported smoke coming out of the front door and out of the top of the house. Engine 21 arrived on scene to a single story, single family residence with a working fire, and smoke showing from 3 sides, and confirmed evacuation. Truck 21 arrived brought in the hydrant from F. ¾ Rd. and 30 ½ Rd. from the North. Mutual aid was requested from Grand Junction Fire Department to assist. Entry crew encountered working fire conditions with high heat inside. The fire was knocked shortly after arrival. Mesa County Sheriff was on scene for traffic control and public relations.
