At 10:50 on February 1st, 2020 West Metro Fire Rescue with auto-aid from South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 8000 block of S. Johnston Court in Littleton. Truck 14 advised JeffCom that smoke showing from the station. Truck 14 arrived to a working fire from a small two-story single-family and pulled a 1 3/4 line to the Charlie side for fire attack in the offensive strategy. Engine 13 arrived and secured the water supply to Truck 14, Medic 13 pulled a 1 3/4 line to the interior and started a primary search to the 2nd floor for a possible party still inside. District 3 arrived and assumed Johnson command, and assigned Rescue 10 to primary search of the entire structure. Crews advised primary for all floors was clear and reported the fire under control. West Metro investigator indicated that the suspected cause of the fire was smoking materials that started outside the residents, and windy conditions pushed flames into the crawlspace, causing heavy damage to the structure and contents.
