West Metro House Fire

At 16:40 on February 2nd, 2020 West Metro Fire Rescue with auto-aid from South Metro Fire Rescue was alerted to a structure fire in the 10700 block of W. Weaver Dr. in Littleton. JeffCom advised that 911 callers reporting fire in the garage, and District 2 reported smoke showing from Kipling St. & Jewell Ave. Engine 12 arrived on scene to a two-story single-family with a fully involved garage fire to the 2nd floor, and pulled a 1 3/4 line for fire attack in the offensive strategy with Medic 12. District 3 arrived and took command, and assigned South Metro Engine 13 to assist with fire attack, and South Metro Medic 16 as medical group. Crews worked heavy fire conditions with 2 vehicles involved in the garage. Crews advised primary search for all floors were clear and put the fire under control at 17:14 with crews starting an extended overhaul. It is reported that the home is a total loss, and the cause of the fire is under investigation with no reported injuries. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
