North Metro House Fire

At 13:42 on April 22nd, 2020 North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to a structure fire in the 400 block of W. 100th Pl. Truck 62 arrived to a single-family two-story home with light smoke showing from the Charlie side, and pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack and primary search with Medic 62. Battalion 71 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy, and assigned Engine 72 with primary search in the basement, and Medic 71 as rehab. Two residents evacuated safely, and crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly, which originated in the kitchen. The cause was accidental related to food left cooking on the stove top.
