South Metro Structure Fire

On December 18th, 2020 at approximately 20:45 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 8463 Wheatgrass Circle in Parker. MetCom advised responding units that they received several calls and a report of an explosion in the garage, possible from a propane tank. Units arrived on scene and found heavy smoke and fire coming from a single-family residence. Both Engines 22 and 42 hit hydrants on either side of the residence and deployed hose lines. Firefighters were on scene for about two hours battling the blaze, dousing hot spots and mopping up. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
