Emergency Preparedness Drill

The Regional Transportation District, South Adams County Fire Department and Northglenn Ambulance / South Adams County Paramedics conducted an emergency preparedness drill at the E. 72nd Ave. light rail station in Commerce City on October 27th, 2020. The drill simulated a chemical release at the nearby Suncor Refinery that impacted the surrounding area and passengers on passing N line train. Firefighters, paramedics and transit police responded to the station to evacuate the train, treat patients, contain the area and divert traffic. The exercise was designed to allow local emergency response agencies to coordinate communications and response strategies in the event of an actual emergency.

Northglenn Ambulance / SAC Paramedics: EMS Command 21, Ambulance 202 & Ambulance 207
