South Metro Grass Fire

South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported grass fire at E. Orchard Rd. & S. Buckley Rd. at approximately 17:15 on July 7th, 2020. Several callers reported vegetation on fire down along the creek bed and that the fire was estimated at half the size of a football field. Firefighters arrived on scene and spent about forty minutes dousing the flames and cooling off hot spots. The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office diverted traffic from eastbound Orchard and southbound Buckley while suppression efforts were underway.
