At 18:18 on April 6th, 2020 West Metro Fire Rescue was alerted to a structure fire in the 3000 block of Fenton St. in Wheat Ridge. JeffCom advised that Wheat Ridge Police officers on scene reporting the back fence and trees in the alley were fully involved next to electric poles. District 1 arrived on scene to a working fire from the back of a one-story residential in the offensive strategy and requested Xcel to the scene. Engine 16 arrived in the alley and started fire attack with tank water with Medic 16. Engine 1 established the water supply to Engine 16 from W. 32nd Ave. & Eaton St. and Medic 1 assigned as medical group. Crews got the fire out with extensive damage to the outside and the interior of the structure and also damage to the siding of the house next door. No one was home at the time, and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
