Jefferson County Brush Fire

At 15:44 on September 19th, 2021 JeffCom 911 alerted Fairmount Fire Protection District to a reported brush fire at W. 82nd Ave. off Hwy. 93 in Jefferson County. Battalion 30 requested a brush from Arvada Fire Protection District and Golden Fire Department. Engine 21 found one fire closer to W. 64th Ave. off Hwy. 93 about 10×20 grass fire moving to the west and started fire attack on tanker water, and got control quickly and started mop up. Engine 58 and Brush 58 arrived to the original fire on W. 82nd Ave off Hwy. 93 with a large vegetation fire moving to the south and crews started fire attack with Brush 57 and Engine 57. Brush 31 arrived and assigned on Indian Hill Rd. to start fire attack with Brush 32. Crews got the fire under control at 16:05 and started mop up on hot spots. The fire was approximately an acre or so in size, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not been determined. Additional information provided by Arvada Fire Protection District
