At 17:40 on March 22nd, 2021 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of S. Field St. at the old White Fence Farm restaurant in Lakewood. JeffCom advised of multiple 911 callers reporting heavy smoke showing and a possible explosion. Units en route reported smoke showing in the air. District 2 arrived on scene and took command with active fire from the Alpha side, Engine 8 pulled a line in and secure their own water supply with Tower 8 starting search. Engine 7 pulled a 2nd line off Engine 8 and Engine 3 assisted with fire attack. Crews got the fire under control quickly and started overhaul. The fire was contained to one room on the second floor of the main building. The Lakewood Police Department had a suspect in custody. The restaurant has been closed for more than two years and squatters have been living on the property since then.
