South Metro Commercial Fire

At 10:24 on August 9th, 20:21 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a smoke investigation at at the Parker Adventist Hospital, 9395 Crown Crest Blvd. in Parker. Crews arrived on scene and found a fire in the basement of the hospital. The call was upgraded to a working commercial structure fire and additional units were dispatched. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and spent about an hour on scene ventilating the building. The fire was found in a mechanical room which was controlled by the fire sprinkler system. Parts of the hospital were evacuated and others sheltered in place. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
