South Metro Apartment Fire

On October 30th, 2021 at approximately 20:15 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported residential structure fire at the Prairie Walk on Cherry Creek, 17388 Nature Walk Trail. Crews arrived on scene and found a fire in a first floor unit of a three-story apartment building. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and safely removed a dog from the residence. Crews remained on scene about 30 minutes checking for extension and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
