Thornton Vegetation Fire

On February 22nd 2021 around 16:00 Thornton Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire on E-470 just east of York St. in Adams County. Crews arrived and found fire on the south side of E-470 between York St. & Colorado Blvd. Cres started fire attack and secured the water supply at York St. just south of the highway. Additional resources from North Metro Fire Rescue District and Brighton Fire Rescue Department were requested. The fire was put out quickly and no injuries were reported. The fire cause is under investigation.
