Lakewood Apartment Fire

 On February 4th, 2021 around 00:30 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a possible structure fire in the 1400 block of Harlan St. in Lakewood. Medic 11 arrived to a small single-story multi-family unit with a working fire on the Delta side. JeffCom advised that Lakewood Police Department agents evacuated residents in the fire unit, and other units. Engine 16 arrived and established the water supply and started fire attack with Engine 1 and Medic 1. Engine 3 pulled a 2nd line off Engine 16 for fire control, and Tower 2 started primary search. District 1 arrived and took over command on the Alpha side in the offensive strategy. Crews got the fire out and started an extended overhaul and investigation. One unit was a total loss, and another unit was damaged. Five people were displaced and the American Red Cross was requested to assisted with two residents. Investigation shows the fire was intentionally caused and one person of interest was in custody from LPD. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
