Denver Second Alarm

At 18:04 on January 31st, 2022 Denver Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire in an apartment building at 750 S. Federal Blvd. Engine 23 arrived on scene and found heavy fire coming from a lower unit and a 2nd alarm was requested. Firefighters used a ladder to rescue three people from the upper story apartment. All three people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation. Crews were able to control the fire in about 30 minutes and spent another half hour on scene checking for extension and ventilating the building. Four units were affected by the fire and several others sustained smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
