Denver Ice Diving Training

The Denver Fire Department conducted ice diving training at Washington Park on January 30th, 2022. The Water Rescue team took to the frigid water to hone their skills rescuing and recovering persons and property under the ice. The DFD Water Rescue team is crossed staff by the crew of Engine 1 and housed at Station 1, 745 Colfax Ave. The Water Rescue rig is a 1991 Spartan Gladiator / SVI walk-in rescue that previously served as an emergency communication unit for the Colorado State Patrol.
