Estes Park House Fire

At 00:51 on January 18th, 2022 Estes Valley Fire Protection District was dispatched for a reported house fire at 2216 Pine Meadow Dr. in Estes Park. Estes Park Emergency Communications Center (700) received numerous 911 calls and the call was upgraded with mutual-aid from Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Pinewood Springs Fire Protection District and Allenspark Fire Protection District. Chief 70, Chief 72 and Chief 73 arrived to a heavily involved structure fire. Chief 72 assumed command with fire through the roof. Chiefs 70 and 73 completed a search of tenable space confirming all occupants were out. Engine 71 arrived and started fire attack, and Ladder 71 arrived and pulled a 2nd line in for fire attack. Engine 72, Tender 71, and Tender 72 assisted with water supply and fire control. Firefighters worked heavy fire with defensive operations before getting the fire under control at 03:00. Crews started an extensive overhaul with hot spots and the investigation. The cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
