On June 26th, 2022 at 18:41 Boulder Rural Fire Rescue, Boulder Fire-Rescue Department, Mountain View Fire Rescue, and Lafayette Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 7700 block of Durham Circle in Gunbarrel. Prior to the arrival of the first due engine, Engine 2301 advised they had smoke visible from a mile away. A fill the box request was made to Boulder County Communications (1800) dispatch to send additional units. Engine 2301 arrived to a small single-story with a working fire from the basement. Engine 2506 arrived and secured the water supply to Engine 2301 and pulled a 2nd line and started the primary search on the first floor. Battalion Chief 2660 arrived and took command and assigned Engine 2202 to assist with Engine 2301 on fire attack. Tower 2516 assigned with utilities and Ladder 2619 went to the roof. The fire was put under control quickly and crews started overhaul and the investigation. All the occupants were safely able to exit the structure.
