Cesar Chavez Celebration

On March 26th, 2022 various public safety agencies from across the Grand Valley and surrounding areas came together at Las Colonias Park to provide public education and demonstration at the Cesar Chavez Celebration. The Grand Junction Police Department, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado State Patrol, Fruita Police Department, and Mesa County Search and Rescue had vehicles on display and personnel to interact with the public for several hours. The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control Training Section had their Western Slope training officer with the Mobile Live Fire Training Unit to educate the public on firefighter training, along with Engine 3411 from Montrose.
