South Metro Structure Fire

On March 1st, 2022 at 12:53 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a smoke investigation at Ivy Crossing Apartment Homes, 7535 E. Harvard Ave. Engine 21 arrived on scene, found a working fire in a first floor laundry room and upgraded the call to a working structure. Additional units from South Metro and Aurora Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene. Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly and spent another half hour ventilating the building. One person was evaluated at the scene for a minor injury and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
