On June 29th, 2023 Castle Rock Fire & Rescue Department and Larkspur Fire Protection District had the opportunity to hone in on their skills on a donated Philip S. Miller Library before the building is schedule to be torn down. Crews filtered through running scenarios to get a real life feel for what could happen on a possible incident. Crews conducted roof ventilation, hose deployment, RIT, demolition and confined space during the day with cutting holes in the roof and took out interior walls to get from one room to another.
