South Metro Structure Fire

On July 28th, 2023 at approximately 14:36 South Metro Fire Rescue was notified of a possible structure fire on the 4800 block of Gibraltar Lane. Engine 23 arrived on scene of a single-story single-family structure with light smoke showing. Engine 23 stretched a pre-connect for fire attack with Medic 23 securing the water supply. Battalion Chief 5 upgraded the incident to a working fire due to parties being unaccounted for. One party was evaluated by Medic 23 with Engine 22 conducting the primary search. Engine 22 found one party upstairs with no injuries and removed them from the structure. Crews remained on scene for a short period of time conducting overhaul and the fire is under investigation.
