Poudre House Fire

On August 5th, 2023 around 02:40 Poudre Fire Authority responded to a reported structure fire in the 1800 block of Yorktown Ave. in Fort Collins. Engine 4 arrived to a one-story residential with fire from the garage and pulled a attack line in. Rescue 4 started the primary search with Tower 1 and Engine 2 secured the water supply. Battalion Chief 2 arrived and assumed command and assigned Engine 3 to pulled a 2nd line in. Crews found fire that extended into the attic space. The fire was  extinguished in the attic and crews remained on scene for an extended time to monitor the structure and remove residual heat from the chimney and flashing. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by Poudre Fire Authority
