Hogback Mop-up

West Metro Fire Rescue was back at the Hogback Fire on April 1st, 2023 looking for hot spots and mopping up. A large wind driven fire that started on March 31st that burned about 40 acres on top of and along the west side of the hogback between C-470 and Hwy. 93. Firefighters took tools and landlines up the steep sides of the hill and spent the better part of the day ensuring all hot spots were fully extinguished.
