South Metro Kitchen Fire

On July 14, 2023 at approximately 11:50 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 20465 E. Quincy Ave. Units arrived on scene, observed smoke coming from the residence and upgraded the call to a working structure fire. Additional units were dispatched to the scene including a battalion chief and engine from Aurora Fire Rescue. Firefighters spent about thirty minutes extinguishing the small kitchen fire, checking for extension and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
