South Metro Vegetation Fire

On October 11th, 2023 at approximately 04:00 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the vicinity of E. Smokey Hill Rd. and S. Telluride St. Smoke and flames were visible behind a fence northeast of the intersection. Engine 22 located burning bushes and other vegetation behind 5192 S. Truckee St. Crews were on scene about thirty minutes extinguishing the fire and mopping up. No injuries were reported, no structures were threatened and the cause is under investigation.
