Boulder County Outbuilding Fire

On July 4th, 2024 at 16:22 Boulder County Communications (1800) dispatched Mountain View Fire Rescue, Lafayette Fire Department, Louisville Fire Protection District, Boulder Rural Fire Rescue and Hygiene Fire Protection District to a possible structure fire in the area of Baseline (Hwy. 7) & E. County Line Rd. just outside of Erie and Lafayette. Engine 2208 arrived on scene to a shed-outbuilding fire not threatening the main structure and Battalion 2660 assumed command. Due to the location of the fire, multiple water tenders were dispatched to provide additional water to the engines. The cause of the fire was in an old chicken coop could not be determined.
