At 11:11 on July 20th, 2024 Fairmount Fire Protection District responded to a possible brush fire at W. 44th Ave. & Youngfield St. in Wheat Ridge. Jeffcom advised the brush fire may have been caused by a MVC. Engine 32 arrived to a small grass fire on Youngfield St. and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack. Crews did find a accident involving a box truck on the off ramp from Hwy. 58 to I-70 and unknown if that caused the brush fire. The fire was put under control quickly and crews worked on overhaul.
