Thirteen Fire
On August 10th, 2025 around 13:30 Craig Regional Communications Center dispatched Craig Fire Rescue to a reported residential structure fire in the 700 block of E. 13th St. Crews arrived to find a home on fire and quickly spreading to nearby fields, transitioning into a fast-moving wildland-urban interface fire threatening multiple homes. Evacuation notices were requested in the northeast section of Craig. The fire was put under control at 22:00 and all evacuation and pre-evacuation orders were lifted. Two Craig Fire Rescue firefighters were transported to the hospital for evaluation due to smoke inhalation and heat-related fatigue and both were released after treatment. No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Four structures were lost, including three on the property where the fire started, a house, garage and shed.
