Golden MVA Rollover

On March 21st, 2026 at 07:39 Golden Fire Department, Pleasant View Fire Department and Stadium Medical were dispatched to a reported MVA rollover on Johnson Rd. at W. 6th Ave. in Golden. Crews arrived on scene of a two-vehicle MVA rollover with a commercial box truck on it’s side with approximately 500 gallons of fertilizer mixed with diesel fuel that had spilled onto the roadway close to the light rail tracks. Arvada Fire Protection District Hazmat 60 was requested to the scene to help contain the spill. Both drivers refused treatment at the scene and were released. Both directions of Johnson Rd. were closed at the driveway entrance of the Government Center, one lane of eastbound W. 6th Ave. was closed and all westbound W. 6th Ave. traffic was diverted onto northbound Ulysses St. and all traffic of C-470 exiting to W. 6th Ave. was diverted to eastbound W. 6th Ave. Additional information provided by Golden Fire Department
