Working Structure Fire

On June 23rd, 2026 at 19:21 Arvada Fire Protection District and West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a possible structure fire in the 9400 block of W. 47th Ave. in Wheat Ridge. Jeffcom 911 advised multiple callers reporting flames showing and Wheat Ridge Police officers on scene reporting that the unit is engulfed with possible parties inside with no one answering at the door. Engine 52 arrived on scene with a working fire from a two-story townhome and pulled a 1 3/4 line for fire attack. Engine 17 secured the water supply to Engine 52 and Medic 17 assigned as medical. Crews worked heavy black smoke conditions inside the fire unit with two attached exposures on both sides. Engine 51 started the primary search in the Delta unit and pulled a 2nd line in and District 1 assumed command in the offensive strategy and Tower 2 assigned with the primary search in the fire unit. The fire was put under control at 19:39 with no extension and crews worked on overhaul. The occupant of the fire unit wasn’t home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
