Single Role Paramedic Academy

The South Adams County Fire Department Single Role Paramedic Academy is underway. Six recruits are training to serve as paramedics for the Department and staff their new in-house ambulance service. 5280Fire caught up with the group on September 3rd, 2026 while they were doing joint live fire training with the SAW Lateral Fire Training Academy at the South Adams County Fire Training Center. The new paramedics will graduate on September 10th and will help staff the Department’s two medic units at Station 27 and Station 28. The next academy is scheduled for January of 2027 to staff two new medic units that will hit he streets in March of 2027.
