Puppies and Patron The Fire Rescue Dogs Calendar held their 1st annual Puppies and Patron on December 16th, 2019 at the EXDO Event Center. Crowds came out to cuddle and play with puppies from Lifeline Puppy Rescue, meet the firefighters from Fire Rescue Dog Calendar, photos with puppies and Santa, ornament decorating, and more. Chief Jackson Dignified Honors On December 16th, 2019 firefighters gathered at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital to support the family and friends of South Metro Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Troy Jackson. The SMFR Honor Guard provided dignified honors during a small hero transport procession to Crown Hill Mortuary in Wheat Ridge. Lands End Santa Vista The Lands End Fire Protection District welcomed Santa and his helpers at Station 111 on December 14th, 2019. The community came out to meet with Santa, firefighters, see the fire engines and station. Kids of all ages had fun decorating cookies and getting photos with Santa.
Hygiene Santa Visit The Hygiene Fire Protection District hosted a visit from Santa for a few hours on December 14th, 2019. Local residents brought their kids to meet with Santa, tell him what they want for Christmas, and take a few photos. Firefighters showed off their apparatus and held a forcible entry demonstration.
Rattlesnake Santa Visit With less than two weeks before Christmas, Santa Claus took time out of his busy schedule to visit Rattlesnake Fire Protection District Station 252 on December 14th, 2019.
