Evergreen Health & Safety Day

Evergreen Fire Protection District held their 21st Annual Health & Safety Day at Station 2 on August 24th, 2018. Hundreds of residents came out to meet with firefighters, learn safety information, and enjoyed a pancake breakfast and hot dog BBQ. The festivities included a bicycle safety course, fire truck rides in the 1966 Mack pumper, sidewalk CPR and fire demonstrations. A number of community partners with booths with a variety of fire and life safety information including the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control, JeffCom 911, Colorado State Patrol, Flight for Life, Jefferson County Sheriff, SCL Heath, Children’s Hospital, Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC), RTD Transit Police Department and others also participated in the event. All proceeds from donations at the event go towards supporting next year’s event, Foundation 1023 https://foundation1023.org & MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association).
