Station 31 Open House Fairmount Fire Protection District held an open house at Station 31 on August 27th, 2016. The community was invited out to meet with firefighters, check out their apparatus and enjoy lunch. Flight for Life also participated in the event.
Firefighters Museum Free Day Denver Firefighters Museum Free Day was held on August 20th, 2016. Kids of all ages enjoyed the museum with many hands-on activities, including galleries that showcase firefighting paraphernalia from the years, historic photographs and much more. Fire Rescue Dogs Calendar Debut The 2017 Fire Rescue Dogs Calendar debut was held at the Denver Beer Company on August 13th, 2016. Almost two hundred people crowded into the venue to meet with firefighters, get a copy of the calendar and obtain a few autographs. Inter-Canyon Open House Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District held their open house and recruitment event at Station 1, 7939 Turkey Creek Rd. on August 13th, 2016. The department invited perspective applicants out to learn more about who they are and what they do. Lunch was provided. The department covers 55 square miles in Jefferson County and has five stations.
Carnation Festival Parade The Wheat Ridge Carnation Parade was held on August 13th, 2016. The Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District, Arvada Fire Protection District, West Metro Fire Rescue and Wheat Ridge Police Department participated in the parade.
