The Emergency Services Department at the Suncor Refinery (Suncor Fire Brigade) in Commerce City is a fully integrated emergency response team that responds to all medical, fire, rescue and environmental emergencies. The 98,000-barrel-per-day refinery produces gasoline, diesel fuel and paving-grade asphalt. The department has three pumpers, a rescue, four quick attack pickup trucks, several utility vehicles and a number of trailers carrying specialized equipment.
