Sheridan Fire Department

Sheridan Fire Department was located in Arapahoe County (Colorado) and included the areas of Alice Terry Park, Bear Creek, Centennial Acres & Fort Logan. (FDID #00575)

Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department was officially founded in 1925, the department dates back to 1890 when the city was organized and volunteers used hose carts. In 1976 the first paid firefighter was hired, and in 1980 the department went from an all-volunteer to combination. The Denver Fire Department (Colorado) took over fire service in 2010.

Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department was a member of the Tri-County Volunteer Firemen’s Association.
