Dinosaur National Monument Fire Management

Dinosaur National Monument Fire Management (National Park Service), all volunteer that is located in Moffat County (Colorado) and Uintah County (Utah) including the areas of Black Canyon, Castle Park, Curecanti National Recreation Area, Dinosaur Quarry, Fossil Bone Quarry, Green River, Uinta Mountains & Yampa River. Dinosaur National Monument is situated in both Colorado and Utah, the Fire Management Program works closely with the Uintah Basin Fire Center in Vernal, Utah and works cooperatively with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Forest Service (FS), the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), and the State of Utah on an interagency basis.

Dinosaur National Monument has an agreement with the Artesia Volunteer Fire Department in Dinosaur to coordinate fire prevention/suppression activities in wildland firefighting efforts including the use of equipment.
