South Adams Commercial Fire

At 11:48 on October 22nd, 2025 South Adams County Fire Department, Adams County Fire Rescue and Platte Valley Ambulance responded to a structure fire at trash facility, 3711 E. 54th Ave. in Commerce City. Adcom 911 advised that the fire was inside an open building with fames showing. Battalion 21 arrived to a working fire from a commercial building and requested a major incident tone. Engine 22 arrived and pulled a 2 1/2 for fire attack which took an extended time to extinguished the fire and ventilation due to heavy smoke. The building’s fire suppression system contained the fire, preventing it from spreading and possibly causing additional structural damage. The fire cause is under investigation by the South Adams County Fire Marshal and investigation team. Additional information provided by South Adams County Fire Department
