Crosho Fire

The Crosho fire was reported on August 11th, 2025 at 15:25 by the Crosho Lake, Routt Nation Forest in Rio Blanco County. The Rocky Mountain Incident Management Type 3 Team took command of the fire on August 14th, 2025. The primary fuel type is timber understory in spruce-fir on north facing slopes. Adjacent fuels are primarily timber understory in aspen. Continuous spruce-fir fuels to the west of the fire area. The Rocky Mountain Wyoming Incident Management 3 Team 6 is in command of the fire. The fire has burned 2,072 acres as of August 21st, 2025 with 57% containment.  The fire cause is unknown. Additional information provided by InciWeb (Incident Information System)
