Castle Rock Brush Fire

On July 18th, 2025 approximately 10:45 Castle Rock Fire Rescue responded to a large brush fire just west of the intersection of Longstory Ave and Crowfoot Valley Rd. in Douglas County. Engine 154 arrived to a large brush fire moving to the south in light, flashy fuels and set-up for water supply. Battalion 151 arrived and assumed command and Brush 159 arrived and started fire attack. The fire was quickly contained and limited to approximately 4.8 acres. The cause is still under investigation.
