Sunshine Wildland Training The Sunshine Fire Protection District hosted a wildland training on June 13th, 2009. Firefighters from the Gold Hill Fire Protection District and Four Mile Fire Protection District also participated in the training as well as Boulder Emergency Squad.
Water Rescue Training On June 6th and June 7th, 2009, firefighters from around the Grand Valley participated in water rescue training along the Colorado River in Grand Junction. Firefighters worked with ropes, rescue boards and flotation devices in order to hone their skills reaching victims and extracting them from the river.
