Wheat Ridge Strip Mall Fire

At 11:35 on January 30th, 2011 Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District with auto-aid from Fairmount Fire Protection District & West Metro Fire Rescue was alerted to a possible commercial structure fire at Applewood Village Strip Mall, 3400 Youngfield St. in Wheat Ridge. Crews arrived to light smoke showing and started the investigation. Crews found smoke and a small fire in 3490 Youngfield St.unit and got the fire out quickly, and also checked the other units for extension including Tafolino’s Mexican Restaurant, no extension was found. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District
