Adams County Structure Fire

At 10:45 on November 13th, 2014 Adams County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 400 Del Norte St. in Western Hills with auto-aid from Federal Heights Fire Department and Thornton Fire Department. Firefighters arrived on scene and found heavy smoke coming from a single-family residence currently up for sale. Medic 11, the first unit to arrive on scene, reported smoke showing from two sides. Engine 14 arrived shortly thereafter and connected with a hydrant directly across the street. Firefighters opened up the vents to the attic and attacked the fire from there first before taking a line inside. The residence, which is currently for sale, sustained heavy smoke and water damage. Crews remained on scene for over an hour mopping up hot spots and ventilation the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation with no reported injuries.
