Denver Apartment Fire

Around 08:00 on March 5th, 2016 Denver Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 2260 Larimer St. Truck 4 arrived to a two-story mixed use building with nothing showing and assumed command. Upon further investigation smoke conditions were found inside the adjacent 2nd floor apartment unit at 2258 Larimer St. Engine 3 established a water supply and advanced a line for fire attack. Chief 2 arrived and assumed command and assigned Ops 2 as safety. Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in a mattress and ventilated the building with no extension. Nobody was home when residents arrived. Snooze, a popular downtown breakfast eatery was evacuated for about an hour.
