Firefighters from Adams County Fire Rescue, Arvada Fire Protection District and Westminster Fire Department tested their skills on May 15th, 2016 during a mock commuter rail / mass casualty incident in the 2200 block of west 60th Aven. along the G Line.  RTD, Transit Partners and local emergency officials simulated the collision between a commuter train and a bus at a railroad crossing under Interstate 76. Emergency crews responded to the scene, evacuated passengers from both vehicles and triage the injured. The training exercise emphasized the coordinated role of fire, law enforcement, emergency management, DTP and RTD specifically as it relates to the initial response to a commuter rail accident.
